In the 24 sessions Watercolour Painting class, you can look forward to attain an intermediate level of competency! You will be able to learn basic and intermediate watercolour painting techniques and skills! Additionally, you can also explore a wider variety of subjects !
Watercolour painting is a medium that requires lots of patience and practice. Under full professional teacher guidance, this Watercolour painting course will give you sufficient number of lessons to learn how to paint using watercolour relatively well. Moreover, all watercolour painting art materials provided for you to explore different watercolour painting styles like Wet-On-Dry Watercolor Technique, Dry-On-Dry Watercolor Technique, Dry-On-Wet Watercolor Technique etc! After attending this 24 session watercolour painting class, you may be able to find your own under the guidance of our friendly instructor. With a 26 Weeks validity period and flexible drop-in schedules ( refer the schedules attached below), you can comfortably learn the art of watercolour painting at your own pace!

This watercolour class is suitable for anyone – from one who might have dabbled in watercolour painting before to those who are pure beginners!
Under the guidance of our professional teacher, you will be able to improve your watercolour skills and techniques as our teacher will be able to follow according to each individual’s pace
Through observing the still life sets of vegetables, fruits, ceramics, utensils, flowers, cloth fabrics and more, one will gain a better understanding of form and composition, space, how to observe the colours of the subjects, colors of the environment, the characteristics of light and its colors, leaving out white spaces, water to watercolour paint proportions, brush skills and expressing different textures in watercolour and using watercolour painting to portray the subjects in a realistic manner, and add on personalised styles.

The following art courses are for the Art Immersion Course and Acrylic painting course. The art courses are available at both our Dhoby Ghaut Art Studio and MacPherson Art Studio, please choose your preferred location.
All sessions are to be completed within the course duration stated. No refunds are provided for any courses/workshops/lesson purchased. Further extension of course validity of up to one month only may be provided with proof of overseas travel, hospitalization/medical certificate.
The course package(s) is/are valid within the stated date of registration. Each session under the adult and teenager course package is 2 hours 15 minutes. Visual Arts Centre reserves the right to reject/reschedule your lesson if you are late. Visual Arts Centre reserves the right to cancel/reschedule/postpone any course/session without prior notice. In the event that the course is unable to proceed due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of the fees will be provided. The registrant/guardian of the registrant indemnifies and holds Visual Arts Centre and/or its staff harmless from any losses sustained from any activity within the premises of Visual Arts Centre, including personal injury/loss or damages to property.

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
