Why not take this quiet time at home to plan a fruitful calendar of self-learning, and we’re here to help you learn and enjoy art from the comfort of your home with our Zoom Online Art Classes – VAC ZOOM LIVE Art Sessions in three series – Drawing and Sketching series, Acrylic Painting series and Creative Illustration course for students preparing for portfolio. We are also hosting a Portrait Oil Painting course hosted on ZOOM by renowned international artist Michael Britton. For our younger students, there is also a Young Art Titans programme made available on ZOOM.

(1) Drawing and Sketching series – Still Life, Landscape, Portrait subjects

Drawing and Sketching series (Schedule: from 04/06/2021 onwards, Every Friday, 1.30pm-3.45pm):

Drawing and sketching is a set of Zoom Online Art Class conducted by Visual Arts Centre Singapore, suitable for beginners to advanced levels, including Still Life drawing and sketching, Landscape drawing and sketching, Portrait drawing and sketching. VAC  ZOOM Live Art Sessions is available from 04/06/2021, and caters for beginners to advanced levels. This course is suitable for both teenagers and adults, students and working adults.

The Drawing and sketching Zoom Online Art Class is an interactive art session conducted in a clear and guided manner by Visual Arts Centre’s professional art instructor(s) and include step by step demonstration, with art learners being able to follow through the steps, receive tips and guidance at each step.

(2) Nude life Figure Drawing Study Zoom Session 

Upcoming classes for teenagers/adults – Realism Portrait and Figure Drawing Study Zoom Class every Friday from 7.30pm-9.45pm

Our professional teachers will be guiding you through the process of drawing anatomically proportionate human body and portraits. With step-by-step guidance, you will be able to create various studies through the 4 sessions. Split into 2 parts, the first part will have a focus on figure drawing and portrait drawing for the latter.

This course is suitable for adults wanting to enhance their knowledge about the human anatomical structure as well as students looking to apply for art schools!

(3) Drawing and Sketching ZOOM LIVE Art Session Schedule 

(Every Friday 4pm-6.15pm, each session will take on a different topic)

(4) Acrylic Painting ZOOM LIVE Art Sessions

Acrylic Painting ZOOM LIVE Art Sessions is a set of Zoom Online Art Class conducted by Visual Arts Centre Singapore, suitable for beginners to advanced levels. Acrylic Painting is an interesting medium that has many advantages, mainly known for being water-soluble and polymer based making it an easy medium to manipulate to create vibrant works. Unlike Oil Painting, acrylics are non-toxic and can be used without mixing with additional materials such as oil. Additionally, Acrylic Painting is fast-drying and multiple layers can be applied over multiple sessions. VAC  ZOOM Live Art Sessions is currently ongoing and caters to beginners to advanced levels. This course is suitable for both teenagers and adults.

The Acrylic Painting Zoom Online Art Class is an interactive art session conducted in a clear and guided manner by Visual Arts Centre’s professional art instructor(s) and include step by step demonstration, with art learners being able to follow through the steps, receive tips and guidance at each step. You will slowly grasp the many techniques needed for acrylic painting and also learn how this medium differs from others.

Art Materials List:

(1) Set of drawing pencils – HB, 2B, 4B, 6B (any brand)

(2) A3 Drawing paper – preferably with a bit of roughness and texture

(3) Soft eraser (any erasers, Pentel is easy to use)

(4) Penknife – to sharpen pencils – Click to check out video How to sharpen pencils

  • Understand composition, colour mixing rules and techniques of complex works;
  • Accurately compose object’s form, landscape’s perspective and portrait’s proportion;
  • Independently navigate the painting process;
  • Understanding of light and shadow;
  • Practice the use of colour theory.

For the period of 26 weeks of the course, the student can achieve intermediate level of one preferred medium. For example, a student practice both Pencil Sketching and Acrylic Painting in 24 lesson course. He/she will achieve intermediate competency in Acrylic Painting, while having strong basics in Pencil Sketching.

The topic of the course covers landscape, still life object, portrait, and can be tailored according to the student’s interest and requirements.

Every Friday, from 4 June 2021 – 31 December 2021 via Zoom (VAC Zoom Live Art Sessions), 1.30pm-3.45pm

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

All sessions are to be completed within the course duration stated. No refunds are provided for any courses/workshops/lesson purchased. Further extension of course validity of up to one month only may be provided with proof of overseas travel, hospitalization/medical certificate.

The course package(s) is/are valid within the stated date of registration. Each session under the adult course package is 2 hours 15 minutes. Visual Arts Centre reserves the right to reject/reschedule your lesson if you are late. Visual Arts Centre reserves the right to cancel/reschedule/postpone any course/session without prior notice. In the event that the course is unable to proceed due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of the fees will be provided. The registrant/guardian of the registrant indemnifies and holds Visual Arts Centre and/or its staff harmless from any losses sustained from any activity within the premises of Visual Arts Centre, including personal injury/loss or damages to property.
