For our younger students, there is also a Young Art Titans programme made available on ZOOM.
Drawing and Sketching series (Schedule: from 04/06/2021 onwards, Every Friday, 1.30pm-3.45pm):
Drawing and sketching is a set of Zoom Online Art Class conducted by Visual Arts Centre Singapore, suitable for beginners to advanced levels, including Still Life drawing and sketching, Landscape drawing and sketching, Portrait drawing and sketching. VAC ZOOM Live Art Sessions is available from 04/06/2021, and caters for beginners to advanced levels. This course is suitable for both teenagers and adults, students and working adults.
The Drawing and sketching Zoom Online Art Class is an interactive art session conducted in a clear and guided manner by Visual Arts Centre’s professional art instructor(s) and include step by step demonstration, with art learners being able to follow through the steps, receive tips and guidance at each step.
+ High quality, professional art class, workshop style so you can accomplish one artwork per session

Our professional teachers will be guiding you through the process of drawing anatomically proportionate human body and portraits. With step-by-step guidance, you will be able to create various studies through the 4 sessions. Split into 2 parts, the first part will have a focus on figure drawing and portrait drawing for the latter.
This course is suitable for adults wanting to enhance their knowledge about the human anatomical structure as well as students looking to apply for art schools!

Acrylic Painting ZOOM LIVE Art Sessions is a set of Zoom Online Art Class conducted by Visual Arts Centre Singapore, suitable for beginners to advanced levels. Acrylic Painting is an interesting medium that has many advantages, mainly known for being water-soluble and polymer based making it an easy medium to manipulate to create vibrant works. Unlike Oil Painting, acrylics are non-toxic and can be used without mixing with additional materials such as oil. Additionally, Acrylic Painting is fast-drying and multiple layers can be applied over multiple sessions. VAC ZOOM Live Art Sessions is currently ongoing and caters to beginners to advanced levels. VAC ZOOM LIVE Art Sessions – Drawing and Sketching

Art Materials List:
(1) Set of drawing pencils – HB, 2B, 4B, 6B (any brand)
(2) A3 Drawing paper – preferably with a bit of roughness and texture
(3) Soft eraser (any erasers, Pentel is easy to use)

For the period of 26 weeks of the course, the student can achieve intermediate level of one preferred medium. For example, a student practice both Pencil Sketching and Acrylic Painting in 24 lesson course. He/she will achieve intermediate competency in Acrylic Painting, while having strong basics in Pencil Sketching.
The topic of the course covers landscape, still life object, portrait, and can be tailored according to the student’s interest and requirements.

The course package(s) is/are valid within the stated date of registration. Each session under the adult course package is 2 hours 15 minutes. Visual Arts Centre reserves the right to reject/reschedule your lesson if you are late. Visual Arts Centre reserves the right to cancel/reschedule/postpone any course/session without prior notice. In the event that the course is unable to proceed due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of the fees will be provided. In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
