Drawing and sketching is a set of Zoom Online Art Class conducted by Visual Arts Centre Singapore, suitable for beginners to advanced levels, including Still Life drawing and sketching, Landscape drawing and sketching, Portrait drawing and sketching. VAC ZOOM Live Art Sessions is currently ongoing, and caters for kids, teenagers and adults.
The Drawing and sketching Zoom Online Art Class is an interactive art session conducted in a clear and guided manner by Visual Arts Centre’s professional art instructor(s) and include step by step demonstration, with art learners being able to follow through the steps, receive tips and guidance at each step.

This 2 Hour 15 minutes Zoom session quickly introduces you to Drawing & Sketching. Suitable for beginners or those in need of a refresher back to drawing & sketching.
You will be taught to observe and sketch from photographs of urban landscapes, which is also available as part of a full course in our 8 sessions, 12 sessions, 24 sessions and 48 sessions Drawing & Sketching Course, suitable for all levels, with instruction and guidance tailored to the individual during the drawing & sketching session from our professional art teachers.
The art courses are available at both our Dhoby Ghaut Art Studio and MacPherson Art Studio, please choose your preferred location.
The zoom classes are valid for the stated duration only. No refunds are provided for any courses/workshops/lesson purchased. Further extension of course validity of up to one month only may be provided with proof of overseas travel, hospitalization/medical certificate.
The course package(s) is/are valid within the stated from the date of registration. Each session under the adult course package is 2 hours 15 minutes. Visual Arts Centre reserves the right to reject/reschedule your lesson if you are late. Visual Arts Centre reserves the right to cancel/reschedule/postpone any course/session without prior notice. In the event that the course is unable to proceed due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of the fees will be provided. The registrant/guardian of the registrant indemnifies and hold Visual Arts Centre and/or its staff harmless from any losses sustained from any activity within the premises of Visual Arts Centre, including personal injury/loss or damages to property.

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
