Visual Arts Centre brings to you our MOST popular Art Immersion – Acrylic Painting, Watercolour Painting, and/or Drawing and Sketching course – 24 sessions mixed medium package! This is suitable for all levels of art experience, and there’re many advantages of having a flexibility of mediums to choose from in your art learning, and all art materials are provided for all art courses at Visual Arts Centre, so fret not about having to purchase any paints or equipment!
Whether you are a beginner who has never lifted a paint brush since your mandatory art classes in school or someone who has art experience, fret not! This course is suitable for anyone. Within this package, art students will get to do art of 3 different kinds of mediums, ranging from Drawing and Sketching to Painting (Acrylic Painting and Watercolour Painting). This art immersion course will be nothing short of amazing and your art journey will be filled with exploration and wonder! Our lesson schedule is flexible for your convenience and the validity for this package is 26 Weeks – to ensure that there is ample time for you to take your time to learn the basic techniques and create works that you can call your own, all under the guidance of our professionally trained artists.
There are many reason why this package is especially popular with our students! One of them being the flexibility to switch between mediums (e.g after doing drawing and sketching, you can go on to dabble in acrylic painting). For students who are looking to try different mediums, you can look forward to grasping the foundation level of the techniques of using any mediums! On the other hand, for students who are looking to be really well versed in one medium (e.g being REALLY good at watercolour painting), we would recommend you to dedicate all sessions to focusing on and learning that sole medium. Should you choose to do that, you will be able to reach an intermediate level for that medium!
While this art immersion course provides all mediums, you are welcome to join this course if you are looking to solely focus on one medium such as watercolour painting or acrylic painting! For people who are looking to learn only drawing and sketching and wish to reach an intermediate level, you can check out more about the 24 Drawing and Sketching course here!

The practice of drawing and sketching is the foundation of all visual arts. By using only line and tone, you achieve solidity and depth of your subjects. In addition, systematic training in drawing can be deemed as the first step to the world of art. Not to mention, the practice of drawing is therapeutic in nature. It helps cultivate patience, mental alertness, and perseverance. In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
