Drawing and sketching is the fundamental of all arts. In order to be good at your chosen medium, you will have to build up your foundation skills for techniques such as proportion, scale, tonal values and much more. Drawing and sketching is the best way to expand these skills which will greatly affect your overall art. Having a clear vision for your ending goal is good as well as you will know what to focus on when developing your foundational skills. You may then pursue your chosen medium after you develop your basic skills of course!
All art materials will be provided! So you do not need to worry and just come down to start your art.
It will be a group setting with individualised guidance. This means that there is usually 1 art instructor with 1-2 studio assistants going around to help everyone on their own artwork. This ensures that each lesson is tailored to you and you may focus on your own pace.
For a weekday class, there is usually 5-8 people with 1 art instructor. This is sufficient time as the session is 2 hours and 15 minutes long so the instructor will be able to guide you several times during the lesson. For weekends, there is an expected attendance of 15-18 people, with 1 art instructor and 1-2 studio assistants to ensure you are well guided.
The lesson does not need to be replaced. As long as you complete your package within the validity period, you may come down any of the class timings as many times of you week as you would like!
The package validity period depends on the package you sign up for, starting from the first class you attend.
Students will have to complete their sessions within the validity period of their particular course.

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
