Yonder Eternity III is the third exhibition organised by Beijing Zhongyi Shimei Culture & Art Development Co . Ltd in Singapore. This exhibition features more than 30 unique oil paintings of six talented artists from Singapore and China.

《彼岸-永恒Ⅲ 艺术展》 是北京中艺实美文化艺术发展有限公司第三次在新加坡举办展览。此次展览是新加坡美术总会与北京中艺实美文化艺术发展有限公司联合举办,此展览能更好的促进中国与新加坡两国的文化艺术交流与合作。此次展览共有六名艺术家参加展出,将展出30余幅油画作品,均为艺术家的独特魅力之作,12月23号将于新加坡视觉艺术中心呈现。所谓,可遇不可求,是与知己共。历史的时刻,今天的开始.

About the Artists

Mary Tan C.K 陈楚卿

Mary is a full time Singaporean artist. She has a Masters degree in Arts and Cultural Exchange.She has actively participated in both local and international art exhibitions, such as the China Korea International Art Exchange Exhibition in 2011, and Yonder Eternity I & Yonder Eternity II in 2015 and 2016. She is known to use vibrant and bold colours in her artworks.

Yao Ji Hong 姚基鸿

Yao hails from Zhejiang Shaoxing. He graduated with a Masters degree from the Central Academy of Fine Art Mural painting department. He is a member of the prestigious China Association of Mural Painting and holds the executive position in the Shaoxing Artists Association. He works as a teacher in the art academy of Shaoxing and practices as an artist.

Wang Feng Yuan 王凤媛

Wang graduated from the Capital Normal University in 1997 majoring in Fine Art and obtained a Masters degree in Oil Painting and Fine Art Teaching from the Capital Normal University in 2000. Between 2004 and 2005, she joined the Masters programme of Mural painting at the Central Academy of Fine Art. From 2009 till today, Wang has dedicated her time to her art research and painting. She has showcased in major exhibitions in Beijing.

Xiong Qi Chuan 熊启川

Born in Guizhou in 1962, Xiong was admitted into Guizhou Normal University Fine Art Department and became a teacher in the university. He then admitted into the Masters programme of the Central Academy of Fine Art, majoring in Mural painting. He currently heads the Fine Art Department at the Guizhou Normal University and is a member of the established China Mural Association. His art and research is deeply focused on the Miao people, and his paintings portray the lively Miao culture.

Hu Xin 胡新

Hu Xin is a member of the Beijing Artists Association and the Beijing Oil Painting Association. Between 1989 to 1995, Hu studied in Japan and graduated from the Akita University Faculty of Education, Fine Art Department and also obtained a Masters degree from the university during his time in Japan. He has two Masters degree from the Central Academy of Fine Art majoring in Oil painting and in Mural painting respectively. He has showcased his works in Japan, China and Hong Kong .

Liu Shu Ling 刘淑玲

Graduated from Northweat Minzu University Oil Painting department, Liu subsequently obtained a Masters degree in Mural painting at the Central Academy of Fine Art. Liu actively participates in art exhibitions in China and in Singapore.

World of Manga [Foundation & Styling]

A manga art workshop for children and teenagers sounds like a fantastic idea! Here’s how you might structure it:
Introduction to Manga: Begin by introducing what manga is, its history, and its influence on popular culture worldwide. Show examples of different manga styles and genres to give participants an overview.
Basic Drawing Techniques: Start with the fundamentals of drawing, such as line work, shapes, and proportions. Provide step-by-step instructions on how to draw basic manga characters, focusing on simple shapes that can be built upon.
Character Design: Move on to character design concepts, including creating unique characters, designing their personalities, and developing backstories. Encourage participants to get creative and think outside the box.
Expression and Emotion: Teach how to convey emotions and expressions through facial expressions, body language, and positioning of characters. This can be a fun and interactive exercise where participants practice drawing various emotions.
Storytelling and Paneling: Explore the basics of storytelling in manga, including paneling techniques, pacing, and layout. Show examples of different panel structures and discuss how they affect the flow of the story.

Funk with Graffiti

Funk With Graffiti Workshop for children is an engaging and creative program aimed at introducing young artists to the vibrant world of graffiti and funk-inspired street style art. Participants learn the basics of graffiti history, techniques, and safety. Guided by professional graffiti artists, children explore the art of designing their unique tags, emphasizing creativity, expression, and individuality. The workshop includes hands-on activities, from sketching concepts to creating final designs with spray paint on provided surfaces. By the end of the session, children gain confidence in their artistic abilities and an appreciation for graffiti and funk as legitimate forms of street art. Each child completes two original artworks, which they proudly take home, showcasing their newfound skills and personal style.

Batik Tales

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
