The Ganesha Universe is another Ganesha Art blockbuster by Gnani Arts. It was in 2003 that Gnani Arts launched this tremendously-successful series of exhibitions showcasing modern and contemporary art of Ganesha. This 8th edition is significant and festive as it belongs to a series of dynamic exhibitions in celebration of 15 years of Gnani Arts’ quintessential existence in the arts. Under Vidhya Gnana Gouresan’s curation, 25 dedicated artists have taken this beautiful opportunity to portray the much-adored circular and secular image of the global icon within a spectrum of intriguing narratives, alluring visual representations and creative nuances, through approximately 75 artworks that have been specifically created for this 4-day intensive Gnani Arts Exhibition.

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
