Gold-D Food for Thought – Black Donut
Black cats and dogs have been the subject of prejudice and blame for bringing bad luck, being unsightly and even hard to photograph!
We invite different speakers to discuss the issue of black cats and dogs and the larger issue of the colour black and its symbolism.
Let the rescuers share the challenges faced in rehoming black cats and dogs. Let’s explore the issue of black from a cultural and social perspective.
Let the owners of black cats and dogs share their wonderful experiences. What is needed is a change in attitude towards black cats and dogs!
We hope to promote the love of black cats and dogs because their colour don’t matter! they are to be loved, cared for and showered with love.
The videos will appear on the Gold-D global website and Gold-D Youtube channel

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
