After his successful August 2004 solo art exhibition at China National Museum of Art in Beijing, he joined the China Beijing International Bi-annual Exhibition of Fine Arts on behalf of Singapore, and also participated in some other exhibitions of different scales and forms in the following year 2005. In September of the same year, Mr. Cephas Wong, together with his wife Ms. Ang Sieu Lan, held his solo art exhibition at Appleton Art Museum of Fine Art at Florida State of USA, where besides the traditional colour in painting and oil painting, there were additional 30 pieces of pottery art works on show.
Mr. Cephas Wong’s success lies in his blending of Chinese and Western cultures naturally, through his passionate pursuance of artistic creation, resulting in the perfect combination between beauty of nature and art. Cephas Wong is an artist, an art collector and also an art appraiser. He worked as a civil servant in the Housing Development Board in his early years. In the beginning of 1990s, he began to collect art and embarked on the arduous journey and has travelled to many places in Asia, America, Europe, and Australia to behold the masterpiece of artworks in museums. He has held solo exhibitions in various art museums in USA and China and his artworks has been collected by the China National Art Museum, Appleton Art Museum (USA), and China Beijing International Bi-Annual Exhibition of Fine arts.

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
