Concepts and techniques learn in the Professional Drawing & Sketching Course:

Basic theory of drawing and sketching, familiarise yourself with the use of sketching tools, understand drawing and sketching techniques and be introduced to various pencil sketching strokes.
Train your observation skills through still life drawing, understand the composition, correct proportions and perspectives of the still life sketching.
Apply the correct tonal value, contrast and textures for both the objects and the surrounding light & colour form around the still life settings

This art immersion course will be fun and exciting, and will help you kickstart your artistic journey! This course is suitable for learners of any experience levels – from beginners to professionals. Our art classes are flexible and convenient – you can come in whenever you are available and do not have to fret missing out on any classes. For those who are keen to learn both drawing and a form of painting, be it watercolour or acrylic painting, this course is great for beginners to explore, learn and improve overall art skills and techniques, acquiring a foundation for the mediums, while also being able to create your own artworks after the first foundation painting.

Our teachers are here to guide you, step-by-step, and students are expected to attend lessons regularly, once a week at any of the schedule(s) preferred. With our flexible lesson schedule, you may also come on any weekday timings without informing us of your change of lesson schedule!

What can you learn from the course?

For the 12 sessions art course, you will learn be able to try out 2-3 mediums offered at our studio. Our studio currently offers – drawing and sketching, watercolour painting and acrylic painting. Through this course of 12 sessions, you can choose the medium of your choice to work on first, before moving on to the next one. The flexibility to switch between mediums (e.g. after doing drawing and sketching, you can move on to watercolour painting!).

Acrylic Painting

Acrylic painting is offered as an option in this immersion course. You can try your hand at acrylic painting if you interested in picking up a new skill!

What are you able to achieve with Acrylic Painting? With guidance from our art instructors and understanding on the colour theory, you are able to paint still-life, landscapes, figure portraits or even have a creative option where you can paint anything that you want with our professional art instructor’s guidance (Scroll down to see works by our student!)

Train your observation skills of object through still life painting, understand the composition, correct proportions and perspectives of the still life, and also apply the correct colour for both the objects and the surrounding colour around the still life settings.
According to the students’ different levels, our teachers will suggest the types of the paintings for them, such as still life painting or landscape painting. Our teachers teach in academy-school approach, allow the student to learn the basic techniques and theories of acrylic paining in a short amount of time.

Who is this course suitable for?

For students who are looking to try out all mediums, or would like to find the medium for your choice, you can look froward to grasping the foundation level of all mediums. For students who are looking to be really well versed in one medium (e.g. being really good at acrylic painting or drawing and sketching), we would recommend you to dedicate all sessions to focus and learn that sole medium, until you are well acquainted with it. Should you like to focus on one medium itself, you may reach a beginner – intermediate level of competency.
