The SG Culture Pass is on its way to help you discover, enjoy, and engage with Singapore’s vibrant arts and heritage scene.
All Singaporeans aged 18 and above this year will receive $100 worth of credits, which they can use to defray the cost of tickets to attend and participate in various local arts and heritage programmes. These include performances, exhibitions, experiences such as learning tours and participatory workshops, and other cultural offerings.
The SG Culture Pass credits are valid for use across 3 years, from 1 September 2025 to 31 December 2028, via authorised ticketing providers.
Singapore citizens who meet the above criteria will receive a text message notification from gov.sg in September.

Discover Singapore’s cityscape through art in our immersive Urban Landscape Sketching City Tour – Perfect for beginners to advanced learners.
This 2-hour workshop is guided by professional art instructors, participants will explore and learn about the history iconic locations such as CHIJMES, Marina Bay Sands, Chinatown, and Gardens by the Bay. Thereafter, they will learn the basic skillset of observation, perspective and line drawing using using pencils, pens, and watercolour techniques.
Each participant will complete a sketch to take home as a unique souvenir.
In this two-hour Batik Painting Workshop, participants will delve into the traditional craft of batik-making, learning batik painting techniques and exploring iconic batik art patterns.
The session will introduction the cultural roots of batik as a traditional Southeast Asian textile art, followed by an explanation of its evolution and applications in contemporary design. Learners will then move into the design exploration stage, guided to draw inspiration from various Singapore elements — including traditional kampong houses, coconut trees, and modern landmarks such as the Merlion, Marina Bay Sands, and HDB flats.
These visual elements will serve as creative inspiration for each participant’s batik work, encouraging them to interpret — through their own artistic lens — the beauty of Singapore’s transformation from past to present.
This 2-hour caricature drawing workshop is a highly engaging workshop. This workshop is perfect for art enthusiast and those looking for a fun and interactive experience.
With guidance, participants can create humorous self-portraits or portraits of family or friends as they learn the fundamentals of caricature drawing— from observing and depicting facial features, exaggerating proportions, capturing individual characteristics, and applying expressive linework to bring each piece to life to take home.
In this enriching 2-hour Tile Painting Workshop, participants will create their own hand-painted ceramic tile inspired by either Singapore motifs or Peranakan tile designs. The workshop introduces history and visual language of traditional Peranakan tiles and iconic Singapore landmarks, exploring how colours, symbols, and architecture reflect the nation’s cultural identity.
Participants will explore Singapore’s visual references—such as shophouses, the Merlion, tropical flora like orchids, and local patterns— using as inspiration to develop their own unique tile design. With individual guidance throughout, each participant will complete a beautifully painted tile to take home—a personal interpretation of Singapore’s vibrant heritage through the medium of tile art.
This is an introductory workshop for adults keen to learn anatomical drawing and to begin a practise in life drawing. Suitable for those who have attended life drawing studies as well as for those who are complete beginners. The workshop seeks to introduce and coach learners on anatomy drawing and sketching skills and tips for anatomy drawing.
There will be learning materials including anatomy realism sketches, high resolution photographs (with no nudity), and a live demonstration by our instructor with simple step by step tips in guiding learners to render their drawings.

Whether it’s a Christmas tree, mistletoe, reindeer, or other Christmas florals, learn how to create a uniquely personalized holiday card. All the supplies are included, including high-quality watercolor art cards, watercolor painting materials, and colorful soft-tip markers for writing your message!
This workshop introduces learners to the basics of interior and perspective drawings. Suitable for those interested in interior freehand renderijng or perspective drawings such as those in interior design, urban sketchers, or anyone with an interest in interior landscape drawing.
This is a one session introduction to still life drawing and sketching. Learners will learn tonal drawing and sketching, and complete a still life drawing work with the skills and techniques of realism tonal drawing and sketching. Learners are guided as a group, as well as individually coached, so they are able to receive direct tips and guidance on their artwork from the professional art instructor. All art materials are provided (for all art workshops at VAC).

Participants will learn to sculpt their own animal figurine using oil-based clay — a versatile medium known for its smooth texture and ease of use. The workshop begins with an introduction to sculpting tools, materials, and processes, followed by warm-up exercises and guided practice of key techniques. Participants will then design, sculpt, and paint their own figurine, which they can bring home at the end of the session.
This 100-minute art appreciation talk offers an insightful introduction to Singapore’s pioneer artists and their lasting impact on the nation’s visual arts scene. Focusing on key figures from the Nanyang School and Shanghai-trained Chinese ink painters, the session explores how their diverse backgrounds, cultural influences, and artistic experimentation shaped unique styles and laid the foundation for Singapore’s contemporary art landscape. Artists such as Chen Wen Hsi, Cheong Soo Pieng, Liu Kang, Georgette Chen, Fan Chang Tien, and others will be highlighted. Through comparisons of artistic styles and movements, participants will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Singapore’s rich art heritage.
Life in an AI Era is an exciting exhibition showcasing 60 artworks by young artists aged 8–16, each exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on our lives and society. Through creative expression, these budding talents offer fresh perspectives on the future shaped by technology. Alongside the exhibition, visitors can enjoy interactive workshops and hands-on activities suitable for all ages — a perfect family-friendly experience. Goodie bags will also be available for all participants, making the visit even more memorable. Come and be inspired by the imagination and curiosity of the next generation!

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
