Conducted by artist Michael Britton, a professional oil painter, the Rembrandt Project Oil Painting Workshop is a 3 days, 18 hours long intensive portrait oil painting bootcamp and will be an in-depth masterclass workshop on oil painting. Through the workshop, you will learn the classical oil painting technique of Alla Prima (wet on wet) – a technique utilized by master artists like Rembrandt through referencing the Self-Portrait of Rembrandt and be taken through the journey of creating an oil painting to the likes of the 17th century master artist Rembrandt himself!
Suitable for beginners to advanced learners in portrait oil painting, take this opportunity to attend this masterclass portraiture oil painting workshop with Britton, where students will be guided step-by-step with live demonstration on colour theory, light and shadow, brush and painting techniques by the master artist, which is an especially important experience and knowledge for learners. Learn and effectively capture the likeness of your subjects in the way of a master painter Britton, and also be taken through the entire creative process encapsulating the fundamental truths of painting: drawing, painting, design, value, colour, edges, paint manipulation, contrast and, above all, unity. The Rembrandt Project Oil Painting Workshop aims to teach and guide learners to gain a firm understanding of the alla prima technique in application to a portrait painting through the intensive and comprehensive three days programmme. Learners will gain plenty of useful knowledge and experience and be able to apply these techniques in their future practise, learning to paint anyone!
