配合新加坡艺术周,新加坡雕塑协会主办的“近观·远观”雕塑展览,汇集日本、台湾、中国大陆和本地90位雕塑家,展出共100多件大型与迷你雕塑作品。室内展览“近观”经已结束,在多美歌公园草坪上举行的大型户外展览“远观”将展至2月26日。本地参展雕塑家包括:孙宇立、麦毓权、杨子强、张慧玲。
两位残障艺术家展作品
由慈善组织“新加坡特殊才艺协会”(Very Special Arts)举办的“对话”画展,在新加坡视觉艺术中心展出两位残障艺术家庄心珍和Gregory Burns的29件油画、丙烯、综合媒体和雕塑作品,向公众展示残障并不妨碍艺术创作。
患视力残障的庄心珍在国内外主办了30多项个展,2005年获颁新加坡文化奖,也曾在南洋美专和拉萨尔艺术学院教导版画、素描。1988年因交通事故头部受撞击,脑脓肿而动手术,不幸丧失大部分视力,一度痛不欲生,经过苦苦挣扎恢复勇气和希望,继续艺术创作,媒介包括版画、雕塑、装置艺术等。她将在1月22日下午1时半举行讲座分享经验。

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
