The Art of Paper Cutting Art Workshop By JL. Desert.Rose
Discover the timeless beauty and delicate craftsmanship of paper cutting in this hands-on workshop led by JL. Desert Rose. Suitable for beginners and enthusiasts alike, participants will be introduced to the fundamental techniques of paper cutting while exploring its rich artistic possibilities.
The workshop will guide participants through a variety of designs, including elegant butterfly paper cuttings, intricate square snowflake patterns, and other more advanced decorative motifs. Through step-by-step instruction, participants will learn how to plan, fold, cut, and create stunning symmetrical and free-form paper artworks using simple tools and techniques.
All materials will be provided, and participants will have the opportunity to create and bring home at least three A4-sized paper cutting artworks by the end of the session. Tropical Still Life Workshop in Dry Media

Join classically trained contemporary artist Irina Forrester for a one-hour creative workshop exploring the vibrant world of tropical still life through a variety of dry media techniques.
Inspired by the rich colours, textures, and forms found in tropical fruits, flowers, and botanical subjects, participants will learn how to observe, sketch, and interpret still life compositions using soft pastels, oil pastels, and a range of drawing and mark-making techniques. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice, participants will discover how different dry mediums can be layered, blended, and combined to create expressive and visually engaging artworks. Participants will leave with their completed tropical still life artwork and a deeper appreciation of dry media drawing techniques.
Suitable for beginners and aspiring artists alike, this workshop offers an enjoyable introduction to dry media while encouraging creative experimentation and personal expression.

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
