自4月8日视觉艺术中心开设线上直播课程以来，吸引了众多艺术爱好者参加课程。课程分基础班，中级班和高级班。从零基础专业基础知识到专业进修提升高端课程，课程内容系统化、专业化。课程有素描静物、人物肖像、速写风景、速写人物。丙烯风景、水墨花鸟工笔和写意、水彩风景、水彩花卉、水彩动物等专业艺术课程。 Since 8 April 2020, Visual Arts Centre has began their Zoom Live Art Sessions and attracted much interest from the public with their professional online art courses. The online art courses include various mediums and are suitable for beginner to advanced learners. Professional art courses include Portrait Sketching, Landscape Sketching, Acrylic Landscape Painting, Chinese Ink Painting and Watercolour Painting – landscape, still life and botanical subjects and portrait. online_art_classes_professional_drawing_and_sketching_visual_arts_centre_singapore 线上直播课程对老师的绘画水平要求高，授课要条理清晰，讲解细致，要求导师的绘画技巧精准熟练，笔笔见功力，绘画的每一步骤都要示范，学生通过扩大屏幕，跟着老师的步骤进行绘画，老师边画边讲，时间安排有序，让学生在2个小时15分钟能学习到课程要求的内容而且顺利完成课堂作业，老师每一步跟踪指点，学生把作品通过屏幕向老师展示，老师非常清楚地隔空指点，最后老师点评总结。通过这段时间授课情况看，学生们绘画技巧明显提升，学生们对老师的授课指导非常满意。学生们也没有想到自己的作品非常成功，对中心老师们的努力和业务水平非常赞赏。Conducting and delivering live online art classes is a highly challenging task for the art instructors at Visual Arts Centre. Fully guided, step by step art demo by the art instructor, with individual guidance and tips to the attendees at every step allows the art students to acquire more knowledge and provides an experience equivalent to a personally tailored one to one class. Students gain a lot from the live art classes and are able to continue building their art foundation and skills even during the circuit breaker. The art materials pack includes a full pack of art materials required for each medium, such as Chinese ink painting, Acrylic painting, Drawing and Sketching, and Watercolour painting.

每星期六 /  星期日早10.30am-12.45pm 和下午3.30pm-5.45pm 是我们的丙烯风景课：学习丙烯画笔法和色彩规律，学习风景透视，如何刻画树木山川、河流、云彩等技法。通过画春、夏、秋、东风景画掌握季节色彩特色。同学们在两堂课完场一副自己满意的作品，还可以挂在家里做装饰。Professional acrylic painting classes are available every Saturday 10:30am-12:45pm or 3:30pm-5:45pm and every Sunday 10:30am-12:45pm or 3:30pm-5:45pm for two sessions over the weekend to complete one Landscape painting. Each week students will learn a different theme of acrylic landscape painting and acquire a foundation and acceleration in their painting skills and techniques.

每周四早11am- 1.15pm 是我们的风景速写课：学习速写基本概念和绘画技巧，分解植物、树木、山川、河流等速写绘画技法。同时学习一点透视和两点透视，学习如何画出空间、距离等内容。

每周四晚7.30pm- 9.4pm 是我们的水彩直播网课：学习水彩用色、笔法基本知识，如何运用水彩知识描绘动物、风景、静物等内容. Watercolour painting is available every Monday evening 7:30pm-9:45pm and Thursday evening 7:30pm-9:45pm.

每周三11 am – 1.15pm  是我们的肖像素描网课：学习人物头像比例、五官比例、头像结构、如何刻画等内容 Portrait drawing and sketching is available on Wednesday morning 11am-1:15pm and Wednesday evening 7:30pm-9:45pm.

World of Manga [Foundation & Styling]
A manga art workshop for children and teenagers sounds like a fantastic idea! Here’s how you might structure it:
Introduction to Manga: Begin by introducing what manga is, its history, and its influence on popular culture worldwide. Show examples of different manga styles and genres to give participants an overview.
Basic Drawing Techniques: Start with the fundamentals of drawing, such as line work, shapes, and proportions. Provide step-by-step instructions on how to draw basic manga characters, focusing on simple shapes that can be built upon.
Character Design: Move on to character design concepts, including creating unique characters, designing their personalities, and developing backstories. Encourage participants to get creative and think outside the box.
Expression and Emotion: Teach how to convey emotions and expressions through facial expressions, body language, and positioning of characters. This can be a fun and interactive exercise where participants practice drawing various emotions.

Academy Drawing Traditions

Funk with Graffiti
Funk With Graffiti Workshop for children is an engaging and creative program aimed at introducing young artists to the vibrant world of graffiti and funk-inspired street style art. Participants learn the basics of graffiti history, techniques, and safety. Guided by professional graffiti artists, children explore the art of designing their unique tags, emphasizing creativity, expression, and individuality. The workshop includes hands-on activities, from sketching concepts to creating final designs with spray paint on provided surfaces. By the end of the session, children gain confidence in their artistic abilities and an appreciation for graffiti and funk as legitimate forms of street art. Each child completes two original artworks, which they proudly take home, showcasing their newfound skills and personal style.
Batik Tales

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.

Terms & Conditions – Neon Glow Art Jamming & Colour Blast Party (Saturday Sessions Only)

  1. Participation
    • Participation in the Neon Glow Art Jamming & Colour Blast Party is voluntary. By participating, all participants acknowledge that they understand and accept the nature of the activities and agree to participate at their own risk.
  2. Health & Safety
    • The event takes place in an outdoor festival environment featuring bright lighting effects, flashing lights, amplified music, and high sound levels, which may not be suitable for individuals who are sensitive to light, sound, or have related medical conditions.
    • Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are medically fit to participate in the activities.
  3. Colour Blast Party
    • The Colour Blast Party uses coloured cornflour powder.
    • By participating in the Colour Blast Party, participants confirm that they:
      • Do not have any known allergy or sensitivity to cornflour, corn, coloured powder, or similar materials.
      • Do not suffer from asthma, respiratory conditions, or any medical condition that may be aggravated by airborne powder.
      • Understand the nature of the activity and voluntarily choose to participate.
  4. Face & Body Painting
    • Optional face and/or body painting may be available during the event.
    • Participants choosing to receive face or body painting confirm that they have no known allergies or skin conditions that may be affected by cosmetic or body paint products. Participants with sensitive skin are advised to refrain from participating.
  5. Assumption of Risk
    • Participants acknowledge that participation in the event, including but not limited to art jamming, the Colour Blast Party, face and/or body painting, and related activities, carries inherent risks, including accidental slips, falls, minor injuries, allergic reactions, respiratory irritation, or other unforeseen incidents.
  6. Indemnity and Release
    • By participating in the event, participants agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to release, discharge, and indemnify Visual Arts Centre, CHIJMES, their respective officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, sponsors, partners, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, expenses, injuries, or actions arising out of or in connection with participation in the event, except where such claims arise directly from the negligence or wilful misconduct of the organisers.
  7. Personal Responsibility
    • Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings and should exercise reasonable care while participating. Appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for an outdoor event are recommended.
  8. Organiser's Rights
    • Visual Arts Centre and CHIJMES reserve the right to refuse participation or remove any participant whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or poses a risk to others. The organisers also reserve the right to modify, postpone, suspend, or cancel the event due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.
