2024 MULCIP Art 6th Exhibition Synopsis
6 December to 10 December 2017
Event Date: 6 Dec, Wednesday – 10 Dec, Sunday
Event Time: 11AM to 5PM daily, except Thursday and Saturday (11AM to 8PM)
More than just a Christmas market, the A Merry Little Christmas Festival is an international, family-friendly festival, as well as a fabulous opportunity to shop for unique and beautiful Christmas gifts in a stunning, centrally located venue.
Our expat and local vendors will be offering jewellery, ladies fashion, art, wine, home ware and more. Products have been sourced from all over the world and locally.
The venue will be beautifully decorated to add a festive ambience.
There will be entertainment for the young and young at heart.
Scheduled Art Sessions, balloon artistry, face painting and a visit from Santa promises to keep the little ones happy. If that is not enough, the large green lawn in front of Visual Arts Centre should add more fun, as we will provide some simple outdoor toys to let the kids (and adults!) burn off some energy.
Live performances such as a choir, a soothing duet and an Aussie Rock band will create a festive atmosphere for both the adults and children.
This festival is all about offering a joyful, wholehearted day out for all. It will take the pain out of Christmas shopping and may even sooth some of that pre Christmas stress for a while.

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
