Canvas of Hope is a platform created by Urvi Sukhani , a 16 year old grade 11 student at UWCSEA Dover, for young artists to display and sell their artworks for charity. Their first exhibition is on 22nd February 2-7 pm at the Visual Arts Centre, Dhoby Ghaut and there are 40 young artists participating their artworks with over 100 works on display.
All proceeds collected will be donated to Aidha.org, a singapore registered charity that gives financial education to lower income women and also foreign domestic workers.

1. Attend -come attend the charity art show on the 22nd of February 2-7 pm at the Visual Arts Centre, Dhoby Ghaut and admire the beautiful works and support the young Artists.
2. Purchase – come attend and buy one or more artwork. 100% of the proceeds go in support of a registered singapore based charity ( Aidha.org)
3. Spread the word- invite friends and family and spread the word and also post about us on social media.
4. Donate – you can donate to us before, during or after the exhibition in support of Aidha.

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
