VAC ART COURSE FOR KIDS
Creative Kids Art Immersion Course by Visual Arts Centre provides opportunities for children (aged 5-9 years) to develop artistic and practical creative knowledge and skills through a range of mediums, forms and expressions. Students will be able to experience different media such as Acrylic, Oil Pastels, Markers, watercolour and even Chinese Calligraphy under the guidance of our professional instructors!
Our professional trainers are trained to provide one-to-one guidance based on the progress of each child.
We hope children aged 5-9 years, can join us! Explore and develop your artistic and practical creative knowledge and skills. We are confident of deepening your child’s interest in art!
Our professional instructors guide young minds through a diverse range of mediums such as Acrylic, Oil Pastels, Markers, watercolour, and even Chinese Calligraphy. It’s not just about creating art; it’s about discovering the magic within each stroke and colour. Bring all the components together, and watch your artwork come to life!

For the month of October, we are offering trial lessons at $35 ONLY and we hope children aged 5-9 years, can join us! Explore and develop your artistic and practical creative knowledge and skills under the guidance of our professional art instructors!
Learning Chinese calligraphy can help with kid’s writing skills and improve their Chinese language proficiency, concentration or even personal cultural accomplishment. They will learn Chinese culture while learning Chinese calligraphy. This can not only consolidate the knowledge learned but also promote the improvement of writing skills and make the writing neater more beautiful and in the right form.
It is in our aim to instill a sense of belonging through art and cultural appreciation.
Unleash your child’s artistic potential with our Creative Junior Learner class, specially curated for 8-9-year-olds. Our program not only nurtures budding talent but also caters to older kids seeking advanced drawing skills across diverse mediums. From foundational techniques to exploring advanced art forms, our class offers an immersive experience tailored to inspire and challenge young artists.

What’s even better is that here at Visual Arts Centre, we do not just take in all the children of all ages and teach them all the same things all at once. According to the age of your children, the art instructors and experienced art assistants will understand what they might be interested in and come up with different drawing and paintings of different mediums lessons for them. This way, you can be sure that while your children are learning something, they are also having fun!
Students who have been with us are also clearly guided by our professional instructors, who are experienced in working with children.

Both the physical setting and how the child feels and responds to his or her learning environment will determine how conducive and enjoyable the learning experience. The VAC Studio is a beautiful glasshouse indoor art studio set within the lush park ambience of the Dhoby Ghaut Green lawn – a spacious and safe setting for kids to rest and play with each other before or after class. Our Dhoby Ghaut studio is also strategically located at the heart of town, where all the arts and cultural precincts are.
The Creative Kids Art Immersion Course goes beyond teaching techniques – it encourages children to believe in their creative instincts and capabilities. Our aim is not to impose limitations but to celebrate the unique artistic voice of each child. We introduce professional art techniques, provide insights into handling diverse mediums, and, most importantly, foster an environment where imagination knows no bounds. Being exposed to creative subjects at a young age has been proven to enhance a child’s level of imagination, thereby enabling them to think out of the box.
The course also introduces professional art techniques to the kids, and they will be taught useful skills in handling various mediums. Unlike how adults view and critique art, it is important to allow our kids to express their creativity and imagination, and not set limitations or standards of art to replicate! After all, children are extremely creative and they learn differently from adults. This is how our unique learning approach aims to provide a stimulating environment that encourages creativity and promotes individuality – all while being guided by our professional instructors!
新加坡视觉艺术中心位于多美歌地铁站上方公园草坪中。中心开设儿童趣味创意绘画班，招收5岁至9岁儿童。针对不同年龄段儿童，教师会设计适合儿童年龄段课程。课程内容丰富多彩、极具创意性、趣味性、专业性。新加坡视觉艺术中心是政府支持的机构，中心的画室开设专业绘画课程，具有完善的教学体系，教师都是从事绘画教学多年，经验丰富。根据小孩子的理解能力，量身定制个性化课程。由浅入深，发掘孩子们的无限潜能。
中心绘画课室在多美歌地铁站B出口左转30米处，身处多美歌公园草坪中，绿草如茵、树木围绕、花香四溢、环境清幽、闹中取静，是小朋友户外玩耍、游戏，室内安静绘画的好地方。
各位教师均毕业于专业美术院校，经验丰富并从事少儿培训多年，理论基础扎实，教学经验丰富。在创新和教学理念方面，我们的教师会定期接受培训。
我们的教学会因材施教，帮助孩子打开思维，发挥想象力，给予每一位孩子足够的支持，提升孩子自信心和创造力。培养孩子从绘画开始吧！精彩的儿童绘画课等着你。
招生对象：5岁－7岁，8岁-9岁.
儿童创意绘画课程内容：
Youths applying for local art academies such as NAFA Nanyang College of Art, LaSalle College of Art, SOTA Singapore Art Institute, NUS, NTU, SIT, etc., or foreign art academies such as the United States, Britain, Australia, etc., need to prepare a personal art portfolio. If some students in elementary school want to enter the ideal art schools with special talents, they can add points to their artistic talents and enter the DSA Art Specialty Program. Visual arts centre provides these relevant training courses. These courses includes basic sketch training, basic color training, three-dimensional composition courses, creative training, interview experience training and other preparation courses that are targeted to help these students score their portfolio examination.

The art courses are available at both our Dhoby Ghaut Art Studio and MacPherson Art Studio, please choose your preferred location.
All sessions are to be completed within the course duration stated. No refunds are provided for any courses/workshops/lesson purchased. Further extension of course validity of up to one month only may be provided with proof of overseas travel, hospitalization/medical certificate.
The course package(s) is/are valid within the stated date of registration. Each session under the adult and teenager course package is 2 hours 15 minutes. Visual Arts Centre reserves the right to reject/reschedule your lesson if you are late. Visual Arts Centre reserves the right to cancel/reschedule/postpone any course/session without prior notice. In the event that the course is unable to proceed due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of the fees will be provided. The registrant/guardian of the registrant indemnifies and holds Visual Arts Centre and/or its staff harmless from any losses sustained from any activity within the premises of Visual Arts Centre, including personal injury/loss or damages to property.

Since its initiation on 31 January 2016, the Visual Arts Centre Exhibition Gallery has hosted over two hundred international and local art and design exhibitions, boasting a diverse range of art styles and programmes.

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
