The best golden age period for children to develop and learn drawing is between the ages of 7 to 9 (or 10 to 12).
At this age, children start developing curiosity and have a sharp sense of observation about their surroundings around the world. They are capable of expressing boundless creativity through art.
The Visual Arts Centre offers kids art class; kids art course that are carefully designed by our professional instructors based on children’s developmental stages. These courses aim to cultivate children’s observation skills, imagination, motor ability, and creative expression. They also nurture independent thinking and the ability to complete artworks on their own.

In this Kids Art Class, Children will start with familiarising themselves with standard objects: drawing their favourite toys, fruits, potted plants, family pets, or family members (encouraging dynamic poses).
Practice quick sketching to capture movement or features with simple lines (quickly drawing different bird poses).

The Visual Arts Centre’s team of professional teachers and instructors designs personalized lesson plans based on the age group and individual drawing experience of each child in the kids art class. Courses are tailored to help children improve their skills quickly at their own level. Throughout the lessons, teachers provide demonstrations and hands-on guidance, paying close attention to each child’s effort, creativity, and unique ideas. Sincere and specific encouragement is given to build children’s confidence.

In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
