Nagomi 和, meaning peace in Japanese, is the name given to a art technique that produces soft pastel art pieces that have a transparent effect to them similar to watercolour. Pastels have a warm and soft gentle feel to them which adds to the charm of Nagomi. By using your fingers to spread the pastel pigment, Nagomi promotes kindness, relaxation and soothes the soul. The charm of Nagomi lies in its simplicity which opens it to people of all ages, Nagomi was created to promote mental health well being and give hope to its artists. There is a spiritual calming feeling that is experienced when creating Nagomi, and many feel a therapeutic effect from it.
